It only dawned on me yesterday that the videos from the WYSIWYG Talent Show were still languishing on our old web server, which is rather a terrible waste considering how much more easily you can handle video on the internet now thanks to YouTube. So without further ado, here’s a clip of me from March 2005, reading my bit at “The City That Never Shuts Up: New York Stories”.

Loved the Video! Public Transportation in New York is apparently much like it is in Chicago! lol.
This was great.. It reminded me of the time on the Brooklyn-bound F train I had to put up with someone singing “Harmony” at the top of his lungs, with one lyric change: “AND YOU CAN KISS MY BLACK ASS…AND DREAM OF THE NEVER, NEVERLEAVING HARMONY…” And the time on the uptown A train, after having to put up with the loud bantering of a group of friends, one of whom leaves after telling them about a party and saying: “Be there, or BE WHITE!” One of his friends says, “Yo, every time you say that all the white people look up at you!” Ah, New York stories…
