For instance, I\u2019d really been looking foward to catching a free show by Bebel Gilberto at <a href=\"http:\/\/newyork.citysearch.com\/profile\/11278905\/\" >Summerstage<\/a>, but then my friend Josh calls to remind me that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brave.com\" >Brave Combo<\/a> is playing at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bottomlinecabaret.com\" >Bottom Line<\/a> that same night. So as much as I love Brazilian grooviness and free shows (and I\u2019m already mad that I missed the Basement Jaxx show and the Propellerheads\/Asian Dub Foundation show at Summerstage), I certainly can&#8217;t pass up one of the rare opportunities to see my favorite polka\/latin band on one of their rare visits from Denton, Texas. <i>Especially<\/i> not when there&#8217;s actually someone else around now who can appreciate them with me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ah, New York in the summer &#8212; so much to do, and so little time to do it.
