Freddie\u2019s comeback to Sid calling him\u00a0\u201cFreddie Platinum\u201d when they were recording down the hall from each other at London\u2019s Wessex Studios (Queen for <i>News of the World<\/i>, Pistols for <i>Bollocks<\/i>).<\/p>\n<p>Sid Vicious made the mistake one day of bursting into Queen\u2019s control room and antagonizing their frontman. \u201cHave you succeeded in bringing ballet to the masses, then?\u201d he sneered. \u201cOh, yes, Simon Ferocious,\u201d Mercury replied. \u201cWe\u2019re trying our best, dear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then, according to Queen biographer Daniel Nester, Freddie rose from his chair and began to playfully flick the safety pins displayed on the front of Sid\u2019s leather jacket. \u201cTell me,\u201d he asked, \u201cdid you arrange these pins just so?\u201d When Sid stepped forward in an attempt to intimidate Freddie, the singer simply pushed him backwards and inquired, \u201cWhat are you going to do about it?\u201d Sid immediately backed down.
