However, this is a story about the life cycle of typefaces, specifically the way typefaces have been a crucial part of the life cycle of <i>The Times<\/i> of London, a trusted brand that has carefully cultivated its use of typography for decades.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>I recently gave a talk<\/strong> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centaurconferences.co.uk\/brands\/creativereview\/overview.aspx\">Click<\/a> series of conferences in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativereview.co.uk\/cr-blog\/2010\/october\/click-new-york-san-francisco\">New York, San Francisco<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativereview.co.uk\/cr-blog\/2010\/november\/click-london-20101\">London<\/a>, which were partly sponsored by my <a href=\"http:\/\/monotypeimaging.com\" title=\"Ugh, I know. I\u2019m really sorry about that web site.\">employer<\/a>.
