{"id":1897,"date":"2010-06-03T09:29:54","date_gmt":"2010-06-03T09:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/2010\/06\/03\/glyphs_on_film_1\/"},"modified":"2023-07-18T14:36:07","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T18:36:07","slug":"glyphs_on_film_1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/2010\/06\/03\/glyphs_on_film_1\/","title":{"rendered":"Glyphs on film"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>One of the intrepid designers<\/strong> who have purchased a license for <a href=\"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/mt\/mt-search.cgi?Template=ultrasparky&amp;search=sodachrome\">Sodachrome<\/a> (perhaps you recall me mentioning that lovely typeface designed by the talented <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madebyfrank.co.uk\">Ian Moore<\/a> and me?) is my pal <a href=\"http:\/\/platformdesign.ca\">Todd Macfie<\/a>, a designer in Vancouver who I got to know at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.typecamp.org\/india.html\">Type Camp India<\/a> last December. After seeing some of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ultrasparky\/4203111605\/\">early print samples<\/a> of Sodachrome when we visited our screenprinter in Chennai, Todd thought it would be a good fit for a project he was developing about self-reflexive literature and hybrid forms of the book.
