{"id":1460,"date":"2005-11-18T13:10:31","date_gmt":"2005-11-18T13:10:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/2005\/11\/18\/thanks_for_the\/"},"modified":"2024-11-27T20:31:52","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T01:31:52","slug":"thanks_for_the","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/2005\/11\/18\/thanks_for_the\/","title":{"rendered":"Thanks for the Music"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Next Tuesday night<\/strong> I take my place in the spotlight again to perform in this month\u2019s WYSIWYG Talent Show \u2014 \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wysiwygtalentshow.org\/shows\/112205\/index.html\">I\u2019m with the Band<\/a>\u201d:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wysiwygtalentshow.org\/shows\/112205\/index.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/img\/wysiwyg_band_promo.jpg\" alt=\"I\u2019m With the Band\" width=\"400\" height=\"520\" align=\"center\" vspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll be joined by fellow groupies <a href=\"http:\/\/youcantmakeitup.blogspot.com\">Michelle Collins<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bazima.com\">Blaise K.<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/mamitamala.blogspot.com\">Maegan \u201cla Mala\u201d<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/joshreynolds.blogspot.com\">Josh Reynolds<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/giuliaiscuteandcheap.blogspot.com\">Giulia Rozzi<\/a>, and Margot Leitman.<\/p>\n<p>Although I have yet to set a single word to paper (or screen), my plan is tell of the adventures young Sparky had during the heydays of my early 20s, when it was all about Boston\u2019s own <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chucklehead.com\">Chucklehead<\/a>. There will be wacky stories about the weekend I was first exposed to the horrors of line dancing, the photos of the drummer in his mouse-eaten underwear, and the night Dave and I realized that the entire band had always assumed he was my boyfriend. (Which was, to be fair, not the first time that mistake had been made.) Oh, such funky days! You should have seen me when I still went to shows and danced.
