Again.\" width=\"200\" height=\"198\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"6\" \/>While recently reading an assortment of X-Men issues [<i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncannyxmen.net\/db\/issues\/showquestion.asp?fldAuto=308\">Uncanny X-Men #148<\/a>,<\/i> <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.popcultureshock.com\/reviews.php?id=3707\">Phoenix Endsong #1<\/a>,<\/i> and a bunch of <i><a href=\"http:\/\/thexaxis.com\/astonishingxmen\/astonishingxmen7.htm\">Astonishing X-Men<\/a><\/i> (Best. X-Book. Ever. [Maybe.])], I thought to myself, \u201cCyclops sure is a dick.\u201d More to the point, he\u2019s probably the biggest drama queen to ever pass through the doors of the X-Mansion. (And there has <i>certainly<\/i> been a lot of competition for that honor.) With the handsome-but-incessantly-whiny Mr. Summers, it\u2019s always, \u201cOh woe is me! I can\u2019t open my eyes! My true love is too powerful! My true love died! My girlfriend looks just like my dead true love! I have to leave my wife because her doppelganger, my true love, is back from the dead! I finally married my true love but even though she\u2019s telepathic she can\u2019t possibly understand me! So I&#8217;ll have a psychic affair that my true love couldn\u2019t <i>possibly<\/i> find out about! My true love died again! No one understands why I\u2019m screwing this other hot telepath right after my true love died! My true love is alive again!\u201d The grass is always greener on the other side, isn\u2019t it, Scott?<\/p>\n<p>Do you see a pattern here? Do you notice how it\u2019s always more about Scott than Jean, or whatever woman is reminding him of or distracting him from Jean? Scott and his problems! Scott and his great, true love! Which, maybe, wasn\u2019t so great. It\u2019s amazing there\u2019s not a round of audible sighs and eye-rolling every time Scott opens his mouth. Thankfully, at least the fabulous <a title=\"A Queen Among QuEens\" href=\"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/archives\/2004\/11\/hipboot_chicks.html\">Miss Frost<\/a> has the nerve to give him crap about it. But she\u2019s caught up in the drama, just like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncannyxmen.net\/db\/spotlight\/showquestion.asp?faq=10&amp;fldAuto=61\">Jean<\/a>. And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncannyxmen.net\/db\/spotlight\/showquestion.asp?faq=10&amp;fldAuto=65\">Madelyne<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncannyxmen.net\/db\/characters\/showquestion.asp?fldAuto=1294\">Lee Forrester<\/a>, and the whole Summers clan and their various timelines and realities, and very person at that school who has to put up with him.
