{"id":1066,"date":"2003-11-02T12:14:40","date_gmt":"2003-11-02T12:14:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/?p=1066"},"modified":"2024-12-02T20:46:22","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T04:46:22","slug":"attack_of_the_e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ultrasparky.org\/blog\/2003\/11\/02\/attack_of_the_e\/","title":{"rendered":"Attack of the Enzymes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>This was gonna be the Halloween when I actually had fun.<\/strong> I had the basic idea for a costume, I had invitations to parties thrown by two different <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moufaisbad.com\"  title=\"Landry's birthday on Friday\">sassy<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uffish.com\"  title=\"Saturday's Night of Uffish\">ladies<\/a>, and I was eager to go out after a few consecutive weekends of out-of-town trips. <\/p>\n<p>My enthusiasm for the whole thing started to dwindle late Wednesday night as I clutched the rim of the toilet bowl, when it became clear I\u2019d been having more than just a little heartburn for the previous few days. On Friday, the doc confirmed my amateur diagnosis: ulcer! <\/p>\n<p>Woohoo! A weekend full of stomach pain, bland soups, applesauce, and water instead of candy and hijinks! The coolest part of all was having to watch out for enough blood or anything that require a trip to the emergency room.<\/p>\n<p>Fun!<\/p>\n<p>Well, things are OK and my bland soups have been staying down, but my stomach still hurts and I still have to go have a tube with a camera shoved down my gullet tomorrow.
